Judging Criteria

  • Innovation
    To incentivize innovation and creativity of students in AI technologies. Judges are looking for a novel or original idea, or a fresh approach to a difficult problem.
  • Technicality
    To improve the technical skills of students in AI and other related technologies. Judges are assessing the complexity of the tech stack, proficiency of implementation, and effective use of the provided APIs/tools.
  • Impact
    To raise awareness of the potential impact and usefulness of AI-based solutions in the South Texas community. Judges will evaluate how well the project solves a real, pressing, and local concern.
  • Presentation
    To exercise the presentation and dissemination skills of students in AI technologies and entrepreneurial products. Judges are assessing the clarity, eloquence, and teamwork demonstrated in the pitch/demo video.
